Rev. Brett Yates came to pastor Ellen Moore UMC in July of 2008. Originally from Marion, Illinois, he went to college at Southern Illinois University and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in journalism. While not busy with pastoral duties, Pastor Brett enjoys writing stories, reading, working out, hiking in the woods, and going to Barnes and Noble and coffee shops.
